TIME TRIAL REGULATIONS

Badya Supercycle will follow an individual time trial format (ITT), with distances to be determined depending on age group.

Basic information:

  • Starting times are at equal intervals, usually one or two minutes apart. Starting times will be allocated on the final Start List, which will be shared preceding the event. Starting earlier gives cyclists the advantage of cooler weather, while starting later gives cyclists the advantage of knowing what time they need to beat. This also makes the event more interesting to spectators, as the day goes on. The cyclist with the fastest time is declared the winner.

Rules & regulations:

  • Cyclists must wear a helmet at all times.

  • Cyclists can ride any bicycle that is fully mechanical. This includes TT bikes, road bikes, hybrid and mountain bikes, and others. E-bikes or bicycles with similar aids are strictly prohibited.

  • Competitors are not permitted to draft behind each other. Any help between riders is forbidden.

  • Any required mechanical support on the course can only be provided by the SuperCycle bike mechanics.
