The 44th edition of the Pyramidenlauf by the German School in Cairo, Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule Kairo, takes place on Friday 11 April 2025. The race distance is 6 KM and it is open to all participants. The race course features 2 rolling hills and inclinations and takes place on paved roads.
The Giza Plateau is the home of the Great Pyramids of Giza, world-renowned landmarks and among the best preserved structures remaining from Pharaonic times. The Pyramids Complex comprises the three main pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The Great Sphinx lies on the east side of the complex and is attributed to Pharaoh Khafre.
Runners will be able to pick up their race numbers at the school premises from 8-10 April every day from 08:00am to 02:00pm. On the day of the race participants and spectators should arrive to the Pyramids Complex (Fayoum Road Gate) between 6:30am and 7:20am at the latest.

Runners must complete the entire prescribed distance for their race by walking or running without any help. Only runners with a race number can enter the race course, and this applies to parents as well. Please note that running with dogs is not allowed.
The race starts and ends at the same place, the helipad. There will be 3 waves at the start, with a 5-minute difference between each wave.

- 2nd Wave (Yellow BIB Numbers):
- DEO Students 1.-4.Klasse

Runners will be timed using the MyLaps Timing System and will receive their full ranking after they cross the finish line. Winners will receive medals and special prizes at the Awards Ceremony based on the following categories:

*The "DEO Community" encompasses DEO staff, alumni, students' parents, and parents of alumni.
Tickets for the race are available to purchase online until 20 March 2025. All DEO students are automatically registered and will receive their race numbers in class. Please see the ticket prices below:

All prices are exclusive of 14% VAT
- Payment of tickets can be made online.
- The Final Registration Deadline will be on 20 March 2025.
- Members can cancel their tickets before the Final Registration Deadline and receive the amount paid as credit in their electronic wallet. The credit can then be used to purchase a new ticket for any other event organised by The TriFactory. If a runner cancels their ticket following the Final Registration Deadline, they will not be eligible for a refund.
- Tickets cannot be transferred/resold to other participants under any circumstances.
- At the school premises, participants need to present a valid photo ID along with their email confirmation in order to receive their Race Number.
