Trailmaster is The TriFactory's dedicated trail running event, bringing runners, hikers, and adventurers together for an amazing #RunThroughNature. Trailmaster offers various distances in beautiful locations across Egypt, allowing trail runners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to take part and earn their medal.
For Trailmaster runners, each distance corresponds to a rank, and as athletes move up in rank and eventually complete an 84K off-road ultramarathon, they will be awarded the title "Trailmaster". Outdoor athletes taking part in Trailmaster will be able to experience amazing natural destinations in Egypt, while at the same time competing in running races with all the benefits and features expected from The TriFactory, including premium race organisation, awesome race medals, professional timing services, and Endurance League points.

TRAILMASTER WADI DEGLA - SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2021
Trailmaster Wadi Degla will take place on Friday, September 17th. It will feature three distances: 5K, 10K, & 21K.
Location & Course:
Trailmaster Wadi Degla takes place at Wadi Degla Protectorate near Maadi in Cairo. All three distances will begin and end right next to the entrance of the Protectorate, where participants will be able to park their cars and leave their belongings. All three distances will be organised in the lower portion of Wadi Degla, with runners taking on a relatively flat race course in the middle of the valley, with surfaces ranging from hard-packed dirt, sand, and gravel.
All three Trailmaster races are officially self-supported, with emergency aid stations available at the halfway point for each distance. This means that there will be 1 aid station for the 5K, 2 aid stations for the 10K, and 3 aid stations for the 21K. Runners are encouraged to rely on their own methods to ensure they are effectively hydrated when taking on will be hot & dry race course.
Medical care at the Start & Finish Line is provided by Ibrahim Badran Foundation (IBF). IBF will also be present on the race course itself.
Utilities & Important Information:
Participants will be able to park at the entrance of the Protectorate. Car pooling is encouraged.
Toilets are available at the Start & Finish Line.
There is no baggage claim. Participants are encouraged to leave their belongings in their cars.
COVID-19 precautionary measures will be taken in the form of proper social distancing and disinfection of all touchpoints. Masks are highly encouraged.
5:30 am - 6:15 am: Runners arrive, check in, and receive Race Numbers
6:30 am: Start of 21K Trailblazer, 10K Trailracer, 5K Trailsprinter
*All runners are expected to be onsite and to check in 45 minutes to 1 hour before their race start time.
Check-In & Race Packs:
Upon arrival in the morning, all runners will have to check in and present the following:
-Valid Photo Identification (National ID card or passport)
- Email confirmation of their ticket purchase
Runners will then receive their Race Number.
Following successful completion of their distance, all runners will receive their Finisher Medal.
Premium Ticket holders will also receive their Race Pack, consisting of:

General Registration: August 21st - September 6th
*Late Registration may be permitted after September 6th, but will be subject to availability.

1. Payment of tickets can be made online (highly recommended for instant confirmations) or through cash deposits at any of CIB (Commercial International Bank) branches.
2. Tickets are non-refundable.
3. Members can cancel their tickets before the event's general deadline and receive the amount paid in the electronic wallet to be only used for future bookings.
4. Tickets cannot be transferred/resold to other participants under any circumstances.
5. Participants need to present a photo ID at the event that matches the ticket to receive the race pack.
6. Ticket holders may change their race choice in an event before the general registration deadline by canceling the ticket and purchasing a new one.
7. Following the general registration deadline, no changes or cancellations will be possible.
