The Giza Plateau is the home of the Great Pyramids of Giza, world-renowned landmarks and among the best preserved structures remaining from Pharaonic times. The Pyramids Complex comprises the three main pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The Great Sphinx lies on the east side of the complex and is attributed to Pharaoh Khafre.

Runners will be able to pick up their race numbers at the school premises from 3-7 March every day from 7:30 AM to 12 PM. On the day of the race participants and spectators should arrive to the Pyramids Complex (Fayoum Road Gate) between 6:30 am and 7:20 am at the latest.

Runners must complete the entire prescribed distance for their race by walking or running without any help. Only runners with a race number can enter the race course, and this applies to parents as well. Please note that running with dogs is not allowed.

The race starts and ends at the same place, the helipad. There will be 3 waves at the start:

·      1st Wave: Above 15 Years

·      2nd Wave: 7-14 Years

·      3rd Wave : Under 7 Years

Runners will be timed using the MyLaps Timing System and will receive their full ranking after they cross the finish line. Rankings will be organised in overall and student categories. Winners will receive medals and special prizes at the Awards Ceremony based on the following categories:

·       Elementary School Grade 1-4 Boys

·       Elementary School Grade 1-4 Girls

·       Middle School Grade 5-8 Boys

·       Middle School Grade 5-8 Girls

·       High School Grade 9-12 Boys

·       High School Grade 9-12 Girls

·       Males under 50

·       Females under 50

·       Males over 50

·       Females over 50

Tickets for the race are available to purchase online from 1-20 February. All DEO students are automatically registered and will receive their race numbers in class. Please see the ticket prices for all other participants below:

1. Payment of tickets can be made online (highly recommended for instant confirmations) or through cash deposits at CIB Bank.

2. The Final Registration Deadline will be on 20 February 2024.

3. Members can cancel their tickets before the Final Registration Deadline and receive the amount paid as credit in their electronic wallet. The credit can then be used to purchase a new ticket, either for any other event organised by The TriFactory. If a runner cancels their ticket following the Final Registration Deadline, they will not be eligible for a refund. 

4. Tickets cannot be transferred/resold to other participants under any circumstances.

5. At the school premises, participants need to present a valid photo ID along with their email confirmation in order to receive their Race Number.
